NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - A community center in Nebraska City that's been closed for nearly 10 years is taking strides towards reopening.
Interim City Administrator Marty Stovall told KXCV/KRNW that a local citizens group has sought grant funding and worked for two years to refurbish the city's 90-year old Veterans Memorial Building.
Stovall says the next phase in refurbishment for the building includes a new HVAC system. The city will send out a bid for that project to be completed in May 2021.
